About
Dr. Kara Manning
Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Manning received her Ph.D. in Adult Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship training at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where she currently works full time as a staff psychologist.
Her clinical training is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, however, she prefers an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating other evidence-based interventions including mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing. She has extensive experience treating anxiety and depressive disorders, including OCD, generalized anxiety, major depression, and panic disorder, as well as helping those struggling with chronic pain, fatigue, and sleep issues.
